Homeschool Room 2026!  How much time have we spent actually homeschooling in this lovely basement room, you ask?  Let me tell you, we have spent exactly ZERO hours learning in this amazing space this school year.  

I do come down here to write, but the boys are doing their schoolwork at the dining room table for now, and they'll remain there until Duncan is able to walk up and down the stairs again.  He goes in tomorrow to get his ankle-foot orthotics (AFOs), and we are praying that he will be able to walk again once he gets used to holding his weight on his heels rather than his toes.  

These AFOs are just to get him back to baseline.  Then we will pursue the next steps toward getting him physical therapy and possibly more AFOs to lower his heels slowly but surely.  Please, God!  He's been through so much.
